Admissions & Organisation
ADMISSIONS
The British School primarily provides education for the children of British expatriate parents. Where the law allows, and according to the school's Constitution, the school welcomes children of other nationalities, provided there are sufficient places and that parents and children have a good command of English. This is particularly important for entry into Key Stage 2 and 3. All Key stage 2 and 3 children sit a maths and English admissions test and each Foundation and Key Stage 1 child must spend a morning in the classroom to assess their level of English.
The school accepts children in the term in which they turn 3 years old, and children leave the school at the end of the academic year in which they have turned 13 years old. The provisions of local law means that formal, full-time education cannot be offered to our youngest age group, hence the set up and hours of our existing system. Please click here for a link to the 2010/2011 admissions procedure for the whole school.
Parents of prospective pupils are welcome to visit the school and have an informal discussion with the Head Teacher.
