ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
STAFFING LEVELS
In addition to the class teacher there are several well trained teaching assistants in the school. The Nursery classes each have three full time assistants and from Reception to Year 4 each class has its own assistant. Year 5 and 6 share a teaching assistant. The current full time, class based, adult to pupil ratio across the school is 7:1.
COLLECTING YOUR CHILD FROM SCHOOL
Please tell your child who is collecting him/her from school because any change in arrangements is upsetting and can lead to confusion . Please let us know of any change in arrangements so our staff can ensure your child is safe. Parents (including car drivers) should collect pupils from the covered area outside the main entrance to school, where a member of staff is on duty until 2.40 p.m.
NO NUTS
The school has a very strict policy of not permitting nuts on the school grounds.
LUNCH BOXES
The school aims to ensure children are eating healthy lunches. There are two breaks for eating. Sufficient cold food should be provided in the appropriate container to satisfy the individual's needs. The only liquid which should be brought into school is water. Chocolate and any products containing nuts are not to be included in lunch boxes.
SANDWICH BAR
The school now has its own sandwich bar called 'Zanzibar' which provides healthy sandwiches and fresh squeezed fruit juices. Details of the products on sale can be requested when applying to the school
REGISTRATION OF PUPILS
It assists the smooth running of each class if every child arrives punctually.
Please telephone to inform us of any temporary absence due to illness.
LONG TERM ABSENCES
Given the nature of the working environment in Tripoli many families need to leave during term time. If this is the case would you please inform the class teacher in advance. Please be reminded that an absence in excess of 10 days in any academic year should be discussed with the Head Teacher.
WHAT TO WEAR
The school has a school uniform for children from Reception to Year 6. It consists of a light blue polo shirt with the school logo and dark shorts/skorts/trousers. Year 7 have their own shirts and blouses. Uniforms are sold by the PTA and can be purchased directly from the school. Nursery children are not expected to wear uniform. There is no restriction on footwear other than children should not wear flip flops, crocs or light sandals.
The school has its own PE kit which is a white polo short and dark blue shorts. These can be purchased from the school and must be worn for all PE lessons. It is essential that children have appropriate footwear for PE lessons
The Nursery children do not have to wear PE kit or school uniform.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Any concerns should be considered and dealt with in discussion between parents and the Head Teacher. All such concerns will be dealt with in a confidential manner.
LOST PROPERTY
Lost property is kept in the school medical room.
